Jacob Henriquez started on 1 July 2018 as a partner in the Construction and Real Estate team of Rotterdam law firm Ploum. He started his career as a lawyer at AKD and worked for the last two years as an attorney-at-law at boutique law firm HabrakenRutten. Jacob Henriquez is an experienced lawyer who handles complex matters in the Construction and Real Estate sectors, offering robust and knowledgeable representation across a broad range of topics. Jacob regularly advises on and drafts building contracts (amongst others EPC and O&M contracts). Most recently he has been involved in cases regarding the construction of datacenters and industrial projects in the Rotterdam harbour (FIDIC, EPC, D&B). Jacob is also proficient in litigation and arbitration cases, representing his clients before state courts as well as in (international) arbitration. Of particular note is Jacob’s in-depth knowledge of the FIDIC standard forms of contract in which matters he successfully represented and advised his clients. Ploum's Construction and Real Estate team now consists of 13 professionals, including civil-law notaries specialized in real estate. With this expansion, Ploum takes another step in its growth objective. "We are delighted with the arrival of Jacob Henriquez at our firm.
