Albert has particular experience in transactions in the transportation & logistics, TMT sector (data centers), insurance and the energy & utilities sectors.

Albert graduated from law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1995. From 1995-2015, Albert worked as a corporate and M&A lawyer at Simmons & Simmons, including as partner from 2008-2015. Per 1 March 2015 Albert joined Ploum as partner. Albert teaches the course "mergers and acquisitions" in Professional Education Programme for the Legal Profession (Beroepsopleiding Advocaten, in Dutch).
Albert Wiggers has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
Based on this registration, Albert Wiggers is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
