Ploum advises CrossWind in tender Hollandse Kust (north) wind farm

09 Dec '20

The third wind farm in the North Sea without subsidy will be built by Shell and Eneco, who are working together in the Crosswind consortium. The wind farm will be situated more than 18 kilometres off the coast of North Holland. The consortium plans to put Hollandse Kust (North) into operation in 2023.

There will be 69 wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 200 metres. Together, these will have a capacity of 759 megawatts, enough for roughly 750,000 households. Including this new wind farm, offshore wind will account for 16% of all electricity production in the Netherlands by 2023.

CrossWind received legal assistance from Ploum and NautaDutilh.

The Ploum team was led by Maayke Maas-Cooymans.

More information can be found on the websites of Shell and Eneco.
