Since earlier this year, Ploum has been the official legal partner of the Delft Solar Team. At the end of July, this TU Delft student team will become the first European team ever to compete in the American Solar Challenge in the United States. The team's innovative and sustainable approach is a natural fit with our practice. As their legal partner, we are glad to help create an environment in which innovation and talent can flourish.

The Delft Solar Team consists of 14 ambitious students from TU Delft. To develop their self-built solar car, Nuna, they put their studies on hold for a full year. The team has grown into one of the most successful solar car teams in the world, with eight world titles in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.
This year the team is making history: as the very first European team ever, they are taking part in the American Solar Challenge, which runs from 25 July to 1 August. This intense eight-day race starts in Minnesota and finishes in Texas, travelling along iconic roads including the historic Route 66.
