The largest floating solar farm, on the Bomhofsplas in Zwolle, is now also the most local. On 30 June this year, various parties, including Energiefonds Overijssel and Blauwvinger Energie, signed the share transfer agreement, as a result of which the solar park now has local ownership. The floating solar park will be connected to the electricity grid tomorrow.
Siebren Zijlstra, CFO of GroenLeven: "It's great that we are handing over the largest floating solar park in Europe to the local community. This solar park is the realisation of the Climate Agreement. On the one hand, the dual function that is applied by combining industrial water with solar panels with attention for ecology, and on the other hand, the local ownership. This fits perfectly with the philosophy of GroenLeven. I am very proud of this step.
The generated electricity will be offered directly to households and companies in Zwolle through Blauwvinger Energie, in cooperation with Greenchoice.
For this transaction, the Ploum Energie Team consisted of Stephan Sluijters as lead partner in collaboration with Stephan F.J. Sluiter and Geert de Nijs.
