Geert de Nijs

Specialisation

Geert advises Dutch and international clients on (cross-border) mergers and acquisitions, MBOs, joint ventures, restructurings, management and employee participations and other strategic transactions. He focuses on the (renewable) energy sector and also regularly advises on acquisitions and commercial contracts within that sector. In addition, Geert focuses on (M&A) real estate.

In 2017 Geert completed the Course Mergers & Acquisitions: Law, Finance, Skills, post-graduate course, ZIPO / VU Amsterdam and in 2021 the Grotius course on Corporate Law.

Background

In addition to having previously worked at Loyens & Loeff and HVG Law, Geert has been in-house counsel for more than two years at a globally operating manufacturer of offshore equipment in the oil, gas and renewables industry.
