Ploum advises GroenLeven on sale of floating solar farm to local energy cooperative

09 Jan '24

Energy company GroenLeven has sold a second floating solar farm near Oudehaske to local energy cooperatives. Floating solar park De Dolten/Oudehaske II was sold to Heerenveen Energy Cooperative U.A. (SHEC) and Fûns Skjinne Fryske Enerzjy B.V. (FSFE). In late 2021, GroenLeven already sold the first floating solar park De Dolten/Oudehaske I to the local community, giving local residents the opportunity to become co-owners of the floating solar park. Together, De Dolten/Oudehaske I - which houses 6.9 megawatt peak and 17,000 panels - will generate enough green power for some 8,000 households, more than half of the households in the municipality of Heerenveen.

Geert de Nijs provided legal advice to GroenLeven during the sale.
