Albert specializes in transactions, corporate law and contracting. He has assisted many national and international clients on such matters as setting up business in the Netherlands, acquisitions, setting up and exiting joint ventures, claims & disputes and general Dutch corporate and contracting law. Albert has particular experience in transactions in the transportation & logistics, TMT sector (data centers), insurance and the energy & utilities sectors.

Background

Albert graduated from law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1995. From 1995-2015, Albert worked as a corporate and M&A lawyer at Simmons & Simmons, including as partner from 2008-2015. Per 1 March 2015 Albert joined Ploum as partner. Albert teaches the course "mergers and acquisitions" in Professional Education Programme for the Legal Profession (Beroepsopleiding Advocaten, in Dutch).
