Ploum advises FIELDS Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in merging temporary employment agencies

16 Feb '21

The two Dutch temporary employment agencies Opus People and Direct People will merge. Both organisations announced the merger on 4 Feb. 2021. Amsterdam-based investment company FIELDS Group will acquire a majority of the shares in the combined company.

Opus People and Direct People will continue to operate under the same name and with their own staffing labels. Director Gregor Popanda of Direct People will continue to lead Direct People and, together with FIELDS Group and Theo Peeters (former owner of SEP Peeters), will shape the growth ambitions of the new organisation. In addition to autonomous growth, other acquisitions are not excluded. The goal is a structural turnover of at least 100 million euros as of 2023.

In FIELDS Group, the combined company finds a financially strong strategic partner with growth capital.

Ploum's team consisted of Corporate M&A partner Nick Hessels and M&A lawyer Alette Brehm.

Marktlink Mergers & Acquisitions brought all the different parties together.
