Ploum provided legal advice to Eneco on the acquisition of the Dutch development company Prowind GmbH. With this transaction, Eneco adds approximately 260 MW of development potential to its wind portfolio in the Netherlands.
The acquisition is in line with Eneco's strategy to further strengthen its position in renewable energy and to spread wind energy generation more widely across the Netherlands. The current six employees of Prowind Nederland will join Eneco and remain involved in the ongoing projects.
Prowind will remain active in the Netherlands with its already operational projects, including the Broekstraat solar park in Klarenbeek and the Koningspleij wind farm in Arnhem.
