Ploum has advised Eneco with the acquisition of Essent B2B.
With the acquisition Eneco takes over the medium sized business customers of Essent. Eneco is one of the largest energy suppliers in the Netherlands and focuses on sustainable energy. Essent has approximately 4.700 customers in the medium sized business segment who will be transferred to Eneco after the transaction.
The acquisition gives Eneco the opportunity to help businesses reduce their energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The acquisition also offers Eneco opportunities to grow in the mid business market and to stimulate the energy transition.
Ploum’s team consisted of Nick Hessels (M&A), Jeroen Terstegge (M&A) and Merijn Elshof (M&A).
