Additionally, Arjen dedicates his expertise to supporting clients in the corporate law aspects of (inter)national financing transactions, including the establishment of notarized security rights (Dutch share pledges and Dutch mortgages). His portfolio also extends to the establishment of rights of superficies for projects such as wind farms and solar parks. Arjen is a member of Ploum's Energy Team, contributing his notarial expertise to the firm's initiatives in the energy sector.

Background

Arjen has now been working in the Dutch notarial profession for over ten years, having received both national and international professional in-house training (including in London). Born and raised in the east of the Netherlands, his down-to-earth attitude and work ethic fit well with the firm's specific “Rotterdam mentality”. Over the past years, Arjen found his niche at Ploum, where he further learned to apply his theoretical knowledge and legal skills in a pragmatic manner. He completed his Notarial Law studies (LLM) at the University of Groningen in late 2012 and the postgraduate Professional Notarial Training in 2016. In 2022, he was appointed as an assigned civil law notary in the protocol of Dutch civil notary mr Jolande P. van Loon.
