Tessa ’t Hart

Specialisation

As a deputy civil-law notary at Ploum, Tessa focuses on notarial law with a passion for Dutch corporate law. She has been advising clients in this area for many years.

Tessa is in particular specialised in assisting with mergers and acquisitions, setting up of joint ventures and participation plans for employees or families. During such processes, Tessa ensures clear communication and maintains the overview with consideration for the desired timing. The close cooperation with clients, lawyers and other parties involved in such processes energises her.

Background

With a civil-law notary in the family, Tessa was determined to follow the same path from a young age. She graduated from the University of Leiden with a specialisation in notarial law in 2016.

After her graduation, she became a deputy civil-law notary at HVG Law in Rotterdam. In 2018, she joined the notarial department of Ploum where she works in the notarial team under direction of civil-law notary Stan Commissaris.

In the beginning of 2020 Tessa became authorised to act as a substitute of the civil-law notary. That same year, she followed the Grotius specialisation Course “Company and Corporate law”.

Legal matters business counts

“Notarial assistance is more than legal knowledge alone. Legal knowledge is a minimum requirement. Clients appreciate the extra steps that are achieved by being proactive and flexible, being reachable and able to communicate in a clear and swift manner and – especially in complicated processes – maintaining and creating overview. All this with a personal approach and a touch of humor. In my view, this combination contributes to the optimal client assistance.”
