She is a European Trademark and Design Attorney with many years of experience in managing trademark portfolios of various multinationals and clearance projects. In addition she assists clients in opposition and invalidation proceedings as well as other infringement cases.
Yvonne has not only worked in the field of legal services, but also in the industry. This enables her to properly assess the strategic interests for companies and internal processes and to include them in her advice.
Before joining Ploum, Yvonne gained experience working in the legal profession (Nauta Dutilh) as well as in the corporate business (Philips Lighting). Yvonne studied Dutch Law at the VU University Amsterdam with a specialization on Informatics & Law and Private Law (including Intellectual Property). Yvonne is an official BMM Trademarkt Attorney.
In recent years, Yvonne coordinated a worldwide project of oppositions and cancellation actions for a well-known beverage label. She also contributed to the transition of the trademarks/designs portfolio from Royal Philips to Philips Lighting (Signity).
