Background

Thomas (1989) graduated in 2013 in Dutch law (with a Master’s degree in Business Law) at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In 2012, he already graduated in Economics & Business Economics, also at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. After his graduation, Thomas joined the Dutch law firm Loyens & Loeff in 2014. In 2017, he joined Ploum in the Claims, Insurance and Litigation department.

The Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister)

Thomas Munnik has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Civil procedural law (burgerlijk procesrecht); and
  • Corporate law (ondernemingsrecht), sub legal practice area professional liability (beroepsaansprakelijkheid) and sub legal practice area directors’ liability (bestuurdersaansprakelijkheid).

Based on this registration, Thomas Munnik is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
