Background

Michael brings over twenty years of experience in legal practice. He previously held roles at Van Traa (serving for nine years as partner) and at AKD. He advises and litigates in complex disputes, including arbitrations, with particular expertise in international sales contracts (CISG), carriage of goods, liability, customs and NVWA matters, and import/export regulation.

As founder and director of Saltrex, an online auction platform for distressed goods and commodities, he maintains a keen awareness of commercial and logistical realities. Through his international network he merges depth of legal insight with pragmatism and market experience.
