In the field of contract law Elies advises and assists clients through the entire process from establishment (drawing up and negotiation) to termination of commercial contracts. Her practice also frequently involves advising on, drawing up and evaluating general conditions. In addition, Elies regularly conducts legal proceedings. If and when necessary she pursues interim injunction proceedings or proceedings on the merits, with or without prior protective measures. On the basis that ‘principles are expensive’, litigation advice is accompanied by a thorough litigation analysis, in which less drastic solutions or alternative dispute resolutions are also discussed.
Elies (1965) graduated from the Utrecht University in 1990. She works for Ploum since 2000 and specializes in national and international contract law. In 2007 Elies completed the Grotius post-doctorate study program in National & International Contracting with distinction.
