Annerieke specialises in complex litigation and arbitration. She represents Dutch and international companies in high-value disputes involving regulatory compliance, technical and industrial processes, commercial relationships, causation and damages.
Her practice focuses on disputes with extensive factual and evidential records. She regularly acts in matters involving technical installations, environmental and emissions-related issues, large-scale damages claims, directors’ liability, professional liability and complex contractual disputes. Many of these disputes require close cooperation with technical, scientific, financial and regulatory experts.
In addition to her litigation practice, Annerieke occasionally supports clients as interim legal counsel. This experience provides her with a practical understanding of in-house decision-making, stakeholder management and the commercial realities underlying complex disputes. It enables her to approach matters from both the external counsel and client perspective.
Annerieke also frequently assists partners and litigation teams in strategically significant disputes. She is regularly involved in developing litigation strategy, analysing extensive factual records, coordinating expert evidence and preparing key procedural documents in complex proceedings.
Known for her hands-on and pragmatic approach, Annerieke is closely involved in the substance of each matter. She is experienced in identifying the issues that matter most, analysing complex factual and legal questions and translating them into a clear and persuasive litigation strategy.
Annerieke has been practising as a lawyer since 2017 and joined Ploum in 2020.
Alongside her litigation practice, Annerieke has gained in-house experience by supporting international companies as interim legal counsel in highly regulated industries, including the life sciences, food and agricultural sectors. This experience has given her a practical understanding of how legal issues, commercial objectives and business operations interact in day-to-day decision-making.
In 2023, Annerieke completed the post-graduate Company and Corporate Law specialisation programme at the Grotius Academy with distinction (cum laude).
She regularly teaches liability and litigation-related topics at the Academy for Legal Practice (Academie voor de Rechtspraktijk).
In addition, Annerieke serves as an advisory member of the General Supervisory Board (Generaal College voor het Opzicht), the disciplinary body of a church denomination. This role has further strengthened her experience in assessing professional conduct, governance and decision-making.

Based on this registration, Annerieke is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
