Background

Annerieke Meerkerk joined Ploum in July 2020. She worked as a paralegal and laywer before from march 2015 until Jun 2020 at a medium-sized law firm in Rotterdam, where she mainly focused on directors’ liability as well as corporate litigation.  She studied law at the University of Utrecht and the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, from where she graduated in 2015. In 2012, Annerieke studied for six months at the Washington University in St. Louis, United States.

The Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister)

Annerieke Meerkerk has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Civil procedural law (burgerlijk procesrecht); and
  • Corporate law (ondernemingsrecht), sub legal practice area professional liability (beroepsaansprakelijkheid) and sub legal practice area directors’ liability (bestuurdersaansprakelijkheid).

Based on this registration, Annerieke Meerkerk is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
