The most frequently-occurring types of security are as follows:

  • pledging of rights such as debtors, insurance, bank balances, intra-group claims and intellectual property rights
  • pledging of movable property such as stocks, fixtures and fittings, goods in storage, transport systems and cranes (insofar as these are movable)
  • creating a mortgage on immovable property or related rights such as apartment rights, property subject to registration, rights of superficies and underground or aboveground networks
  • pledging of shares
  • bank guarantees or letters of credit
  • security, parent company guarantees or compte joint agreements
  • escrow arrangements
  • direct agreements
