Irene works in the Customs, Trade & Logistics practice group. She mainly deals with customs law issues and disputes that see to international trade and transport law.
Irene completed the Master's degree in Private Law with a specialisation in Liability Law at Utrecht University in 2024. She wrote her master's thesis on the upcoming AI Liability Directive (cum laude). At the end of her bachelor, she spent a semester studying at the University of Copenhagen, where she took courses on artificial intelligence, commercial contracts, and legal English.
During her studies, Irene gained extensive practical experience at various firms and was an active member of an advocacy society. She also participated in various student and study committees at associations and was editor of the legal faculty journal of Utrecht University.
