Demi van Hove - Dinkov

Specialisation

Demi possesses a broad knowledge of trade & transport law. Demi is specialized in air transport law, and she is in charge of the air transport practice at the office.

Demi advises air carriers on disputes, and she handles legal procedures on their behalf. Her expertise is passenger transport. Her current practice is a true litigation practice and, as a result, Demi has a lot of experience with handling court proceedings.

Background

Demi obtained her master’s degree in Public International Law in 2016 at Leiden University. She wrote her thesis on the impact of human rights treaties on the (de)criminalization of homosexuality in Uganda and Kenya. During her studies, Demi spent a semester abroad at the University of Florida in Gainesville and she also did an internship at the Dutch Embassy in Rabat, Morocco.

During her master’s, Demi started working for Codex Mulder (Amsterdam) as a paralegal, and she was sworn in as attorney at law in 2019. At Codex Mulder, Demi gained a lot of practical experience within the field of trade & transport law.

Demi currently handles hundreds of cases at the same time. Multitasking is one of her talents and she is particularly conscientious and efficient.

Demi is proactive and likes to offer solutions. When she handles cases on behalf of clients and sees room for improvement, she will not hesitate to advise clients so they may be able to improve the execution of their activities and/or avoid certain liabilities in the future.

Demi enjoys giving presentations and courses to clients. Amongst other topics, Demi provided clients with courses on “the Do’s and Don’ts of Bills of Lading” and the CMR convention.

Demi oversees the air transport practice at the office. She is currently the attorney for a big airline. Within that context Demi advises on – and handles - hundreds of court cases.

Demi has handled countless cases on behalf of carriers and/or insurers within the field of trade & transport law. She has handled cases regarding topics such as (but not limited to) road transport and sea transport.

Demi is experienced with drawing up trade & transport contracts as well as general terms and conditions on behalf of carriers.
