Nina Witt

Specialisation

Nina advises and litigates on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property, IT and privacy. She also advises on specific, often complex regulations, for example with regard to medical devices and (clinical) scientific research. Nina is part of our Team Privacy and Team Care and focuses on, inter alia, e-health and e-commerce.

Nina advises clients on various privacy issues and has extensive experience in drawing up (commercial) contracts and general terms and conditions. This concerns licenses, research and development (R&D), trade secrets, software and the processing of personal data, including patient data and material. She assists clients in cases of infringement of intellectual property rights, disputes about the execution and/or termination of contracts and assists in setting up web shops and structuring IP portfolios. She also has experience with various legal topics that are discussed in the “entertainment industry”.

Background

Nina has successfully completed the Grotius specialization course National and International Contracting.

  • Providing advice for setting up a worldwide webshop for the purpose of sale of consumer products;
  • Assisting various companies regarding the protection and structuring of intellectual property rights, and processing of personal data, and drafting agreements and general terms and conditions relating thereto;
  • Drafting and reviewing various types of agreements relating to scientific research and the development and exploitation of new technologies.

The Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister)

Nina Witt has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Information law (informatierecht): sub legal practice area IT law (IT recht);
  • Privacy law (privacy recht).

Based on this registration, Nina Witt is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
