Melissa van der Werf

Specialisation

Melissa is an attorney at law and member of the employment & co-determination team. 

Until the end of 2019, Melissa has been part of the M&A-team at Ploum, where she mainly focused on advising national and international clients on various corporate issues. As of January 2020, Melissa joined the employment law team of Ploum, where her knowledge on corporate law is a valuable addition.

Background

Melissa (1991) graduated from Leiden University in 2016, majoring in company law. She wrote her master thesis on the Dutch statement of joint and several liability (the so called 403-statement). While she was studying she fulfilled internships at several law firms. After her graduation, Melissa has worked at a law firm in The Hague for several months. In June 2017 Melissa joined Ploum and in August 2018 she was sworn in as a lawyer.
