Maarten has experience with individual and collective dismissal procedures, transfers of an undertaking, advising on (the scope of) collective labour agreements (CLA’s), drafting and reviewing employment agreements (also for directors under the articles of association), advising in case of (long term) incapacity of employees and co-determination.
Finally, Maarten has a special interest and much experience in the area of Corporate Immigration.
Maarten (1989) graduated in 2013 at the Erasmus School of Law where he finished the Employment law Master. During his master year, he acted as one of the board members of the Employment Law Society connected to the master.
From 2013 until the beginning of 2017, Maarten has been working as an employment law attorney at law at a large law firm in Rotterdam. After having left the Bar Association for a year, Maarten returned in March 2018 and started working at Ploum as an attorney at law at the employment law department.
Maarten Coumou has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
Based on this registration, Maarten Coumou is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
