Arnoud is specialized in advisory work and litigation in matters concerning trademarks, tradenames, design rights and copyrights. Arnoud is a strong litigator. He has handled and coordinated extensive, high profile and major court proceedings (with EU aspects).
Arnoud has as an inexhaustible, top-of-his-mind knowledge of national and EU case law, and is able to translate this knowledge to hands on advice on litigation and out-of-court strategies.
Arnoud graduated from the Radboud University in Nijmegen. In addition, Arnoud spent half a year studying abroad at the University of Iowa. He was admitted to the Dutch bar in 2016, and joined Ploum’s IP team in 2018.
Arnoud Martens has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
Based on this registration, Arnoud Martens is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
