Attorney at law

Elies Eelkman Rooda

Specialisation

In the field of contract law Elies advises and assists clients through the entire process from establishment (drawing up and negotiation) to termination of commercial contracts. Her practice also frequently involves advising on, drawing up and evaluating general conditions. In addition, Elies regularly conducts legal proceedings. If and when necessary she pursues interim injunction proceedings or proceedings on the merits, with or without prior protective measures. On the basis that ‘principles are expensive’, litigation advice is accompanied by a thorough litigation analysis, in which less drastic solutions or alternative dispute resolutions are also discussed.

In 2007 Elies completed the Grotius post-doctorate study program in National & International Contracting with distinction. In 2009 and 2010 she followed the post-doctorate practice program in Corporate Law; and in 2012 the post-doctorate program in Arbitration. She successfully completed the mentioned post-doctorate courses. To the end of 2013 Elies gave a (extension) course Franchise for the Professional Organization of Corporate Legal Advisors (NEVOA). Elies is an attorney at law.
