She advises clients on a wide range of privacy issues, including questions relating to grounds for processing, opt-ins, the processing of health data and (international) transfers of personal data. Nina assists clients in extensive (national and international) compliance projects, handling of data breaches and conducting of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) (e.g. relating to video surveillance).
Nina has extensive experience in drafting and reviewing (commercial) contracts and general terms and conditions, privacy statements and data processing agreements. Where necessary, she assists clients in (legal) proceedings regarding, inter alia, IT disputes, conflicts regarding the execution of contracts, the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights (copyrights) and proceedings following requests or claims of data subjects under the GDPR. Nina is a member of our Privacy Team, Healthcare Team and Food Team and focuses, among other things, on e-health (video consults, medical apps, smart watches) and e-commerce (webshops, consumer sales, promotions). She is a welcome speaker at (medical) conferences.

Nina studied at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is a lawyer since 2012. She also worked at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam for a number of years. She has successfully completed the Grotius specialization course in national and international contracting.
Nina worked at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam for a number of years and combines her knowledge of the medical sector and its regulations (e.g. regarding medical devices and clinical trials) with her expertise in intellectual property, IT and privacy law. Nina also has specific knowledge of the cultural sector, where she assists clients with various issues (including copyright, portrait rights, general terms and conditions and other contracts). Nina is also co-author of the Global Privacy Book.
Nina Rijsterborgh-Witt has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
Based on this registration, Nina Rijsterborgh-Witt is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
